Borough Plates - January 2017

Anyone visiting London in the next two months must head down to Borough Market on the South Bank. This heavenly larder, selling the finest ingredients to professional chefs and amateur cooks alike, is already a must-see for avid foodies. However, now more than ever, fine-dining fans will not want to miss a trip to the market.
This week saw the opening of London’s newest pop-up restaurant, Borough Plates. The restaurant, set in a light and spacious building opposite Southwark Cathedral, will delight diners with dishes made exclusively from produce sold at Borough Market.
Borough Plates is the latest offering from renowned chef Paul Hannagen’s outfit, Cuisson. The company has a reputation for its pop-ups serving Michelin-level, contemporary food and Borough Plates will not disappoint.
Over the next two months a number of celebrated chefs will create culinary magic at Borough Plates, showcasing specific market producers and suppliers with only the very best ingredients on the day. The chefs will also interact with the customers, talking about the process involved in bringing the food to their tables, adding another special element to this already exceptional dining experience.
In a fantastic location, right next to London Bridge, you could combine your trip to Borough Plates with a visit to any of the fantastic attractions along London’s South Bank: visit Southwark Cathedral, see a show at Shakespeare’s Globe or the National Theatre, or take a spin on the London Eye.

Borough Plates will be open Tuesdays to Sundays, from midday to 10pm at 1 Cathedral Street, London SE1 9AL.
